A single version of the truth is vital
If information workers and consumers are not getting the results they
expect, chances are that they will return to their old and familiar ways of
isolated spreadsheet reporting (“Spreadmarts”) – regardless of the inherent
risks involved. Spreadmarts, and more recently the proliferation of standalone
Access databases, is more widespread today than many IT departments might
