September 28 and 29 saw the first XLCubed user conference for the DACH region. The event was held in Dusseldorf with our partner pmOne and proved a huge success.
Day 1 started with XLCubed previewing the key aspects of version 9 which will be released in October at the PASS summit in Seattle. Much of the v9 functionality has been customer led, and it was great to get such resoundingly positive feedback from the attendees.
The remainder of Day 1 was a combination of best practice sessions from the BI team at pmOne and a number of customer presentations on their implementation of the software. It's always interesting to understand the business environments in which customers are using the products and we'd like to thank Bertelsmann, Henkel, Bayer, FEV and Porsche for sharing their success stories.
The afternoon finished with a Q&A session with Gary Crawford and Craig Salter from XLCubed, followed by an entertaining take on the social media and technology driven world we live in by Anita Eggler ahead of the evening entertainment.
Day 2 - Hands on sessions
Day 2 gave attendees the chance to use XLCubed version 9, ahead of the official release date. Product experts from pmOne guided participants through the new Dashboard designer, Relational database connectors and data mashups, along with some best practice use cases based on project experiences. Initial feedback has been very positive, and as always the product users had some great ideas on future direction.
Thanks to pmOne for arranging and co-ordinating the event, we are already looking forward to XLerate 2017!
